Deep Fried Mussel Meats Recipe
- 8 ounce. mussel meats
- 3 Large eggs, beaten
- 2-3 c. soft bread crumbs
- Vegetable oil for deep frying
- Parsley
- 2 lemons, quartered
- Cocktail sauce and tartar sauce
- Dip meats in beaten egg and then in bread crumbs (or possibly use a prepared fish or possibly clam batter or possibly tempura mix).
- Fry in deep fat at 375 degrees till golden.
- Drain on absorbent paper and serve on a warm serving platter.
- Garnish with parsley and lemon quarters.
- Serve cocktail and tartar sauces on the side.
- Serves 2.
