Hungarian Goulash
- 3 Spanish Onions, Diced
- 1 clove Garlic, Chopped
- 2 Tablespoons Tomato Paste
- 1 Tablespoon Marjoram
- 1 pinch Ground Caraway
- 1- 1/2 Tablespoon Hungarian Paprika (mix Of Hot, Sweet And Smoked)
- 2- 1/2 pounds Beef Stew Meat, Cut Into 1 Inch Cubes
- 1 leaf Bay Leaf
- Salt And Pepper, to taste
- In a pot over medium heat, saute diced onions until caramelized then add garlic and cook for a minute longer.
- Then add tomato paste, marjoram, ground caraway and paprika and cook for 2 minutes longer.
- Add beef and enough water to cover the mixture.
- Add bay leaf, salt and pepper to taste.
- Bring to a boil then reduce heat a bit and simmer for 1 hour.
