Cupid's Best Brownies
- 4 squares baker's unsweetened chocolate
- 34 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
- 1 cup vanilla frosting
- 14 cup multi-colored candy sprinkles
- Heat oven to 350F Line a 13x9-inch pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides .
- Grease foil.
- Microwave chocolate and butter in large microwaveable bowl on high 2 minutes or until butter is melted.
- Stir until chocolate is completely melted.
- Add sugar; mix well.
- Blend in eggs and vanilla.
- Stir in flour and nuts until well blended; spread in prepared pan.
- Bake 30-35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out with fudgy crumbs (do not overbake).
- Cool in pan.
- Use foil handles ro remove from pan before cutting into heart shapes with 2-inch cookie cutter.
- Reserve scraps for snacking or another use.
- Decorate heart cutouts with frosting and sprinkles.
- HOW TO USE SCRAPS: Stir cubes of brownie scraps into : prepared chocolate or vanilla instant pudding; softened or vanilla or chocolate ice cream; or layer cubes of brownie scraps wih prepared Jell-o chocolate or vanilla instant pudding, thawed Cool Whip Topping and banana sliced for a show stopping trifle!
