Green Apple Cookies with Caramel Frosting

  1. Heat oven to 325 degrees F.
  2. Mix flour, baking powder and salt.
  3. Beat butter and granulated sugar in large bowl with mixer until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs; mix well.
  5. Gradually add flour mixture, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Add dry drink mixes; beat until blended.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough, 2 inches apart, onto baking sheets.
  8. Bake 13 to 14 min.
  9. or until slightly puffed.
  10. Cool 1 min.
  11. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.
  12. Microwave caramels and water in medium microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1 to 1-1/2 min.
  13. or until caramels are completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring every 30 sec.
  14. Whisk in powdered sugar until blended.
  15. Spread onto cookies.
