Beer Batter For Fish Or Chicken Recipe
- 3/4 c. flour
- 3/4 c. stale beer
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp. melted butter or possibly vegetable oil
- 1 egg, separated
- Mix flour, beer, salt and butter till there are just a few lumps.
- Cover and let stand 2 to 3 hrs.
- Just before coating fish or possibly chicken stir in egg yolk, beat white till stiff and fold into batter.
- Coat fish or possibly chicken.
- Deep fry or possibly pan fry in oil.
