Lisa's Summertime Vodka Slushy
- 8 cups water
- 1 12 cups sugar
- 1 (12 ounce) can frozen concentrate orange juice
- 1 (12 ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate
- 2 cups vodka
- Bring sugar and water to a boil, to create a simple syrup.
- Remove from heat and add orange juice and lemonade concentrates.
- Cool.
- Add vodka and stir well.
- Pour into 9 x 13 glass casserole dish, cover with plastic and freeze overnight.
- To serve, scrape off layers of slushy and scoop into a glass.
- Fill with soda (sprite, ginger ale, sparkling water---my preference).
- Stir and enjoy!
- If you want to speed up the process, reduce the amount of water used to make the simple syrup to 1 cup and use cold water for the balance.
- *You can try any combination of concentrated juices, such as mixed berry, limeade, etc.
- You can also use flavored vodka.
