Green Pepper and Shirasu Sweet & Savory Stir-Fry
- 4 Green peppers
- 2 tbsp Shirasu or chirimen jako
- 1 packet Bonito flakes
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Mirin
- 2 tbsp Sake
- 1 White toasted sesame seeds
- 1 Sesame oil
- 1 Shichimi seasoning
- Remove the stem from the green peppers and cut into chunks.
- Heat up the frying pan and put in the shirasu.
- Dry-fry on medium heat, remove and set aside.
- Pour the sesame oil into Step 2.
- Cook the peppers and when they become tender, add the shirasu from Step 2.
- Add the ingredients and then cook in the frying pan.
- Lastly, add the bonito flakes and quickly stir-fry as they mix in.
- Arrange on a plate and optionally top with white sesame seeds and shichimi spice.
