Holiday Steaks Recipe

  1. Trim steak of excess fat.
  2. Sprinkle each side of steaks with 1/2 tsp.
  3. pepper, pressing pepper in firmly.
  4. Heat butter in a large heavy skillet over medium heat.
  5. Add in bell peppers, onions, and garlic.
  6. Cook 5 min or possibly till tender, stirring once or possibly twice.
  7. Remove with slotted spoon; increase heat to high.
  8. Add in oil to skillet; when warm, add in steaks.
  9. Cook 2 min per side for rare.
  10. Remove to heated platter.
  11. Reduce heat to low.
  12. Add in chutney and bell pepper mix to skillet.
  13. Cook only to heat through, about 1 minute.
  14. Spoon over steaks.
  15. Makes 4 servings.
