Apple Upside Down Cake
- 12 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 12 cup whipping cream
- 12 cup pecans, chopped (optional)
- 3 medium green apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced (or apples of your choice)
- 12 cup butter

- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 12 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon apple pie spice
- 12 teaspoon cinnamon
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease and flour a 10 inch bundt pan.
- Melt 1/2 cup butter in a saucepan on medium heat.
- Add brown sugar and whipping cream; stirring constantly for 2-3 minutes until sugar is dissolved.
- Be careful not to boil.
- Add pecans (if desired) and apples and cook until apples soften, about 2-3 minutes.
- Pour in bundt pan.
- Cream 1/2 cup butter and sugar at medium speed with a mixer.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing after each.
- Add vanilla; beat well.
- Combine flour and the next 4 ingredients; stir well.
- Add flour mixture to creamed mixture alternately with milk; start and end with flour mixture; mix well after each addition.
- Spoon batter evenly over apples.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Let cool in pan 5-10 minutes; invert cake onto a serving plate.
