Mike'S Spaghetti Sauce
- 1 (46 oz.) can V-8 juice
- 2 (15 oz.) cans tomato puree
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato paste
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. basil
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 Tbsp. grated Romano cheese
- 1 (3 lb.) chuck steak
- 1 lb. Italian sausage
- 1 1/2 lb. hamburger
- 1/2 lb. pork sausage
- 1/2 c. bread crumbs
- Combine first 9 ingredients and bring to a boil, then simmer for 1 hour.
- While sauce is simmering, prepare the meat.
- Brown 2-inch pieces of cubed chuck steak in a frying pan.
- Brown 3 to 4-inch pieces of Italian sausage.
- Add both meats to sauce and continue to simmer for another hour.
- Add prepared meatballs and then simmer 1/2 hour more.
