Honey Nut Chess Bars
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2/3 cup Land O Lakes Butter, softened
- 1/3 cup chopped pecans
- 1 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 2/3 cup chopped pecans
- 2/3 cup Land O Lakes Butter, melted
- 3 Land O Lakes Eggs
- 3 tablespoons honey
- Powdered sugar, if desired
- Heat oven to 350F.
- Combine flour, sugar and 2/3 cup butter in bowl.
- Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in 1/3 cup pecans.
- Press onto bottom of ungreased 13x9-inch baking pan.
- Bake 15-20 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
- Combine all filling ingredients in same bowl.
- Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed.
- Pour over hot, partially baked crust.
- Continue baking 25-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Cool completely; cut into bars.
- Place stencil onto individual bars; sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired.
