Honey Nut Chess Bars

  1. Heat oven to 350F.
  2. Combine flour, sugar and 2/3 cup butter in bowl.
  3. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in 1/3 cup pecans.
  5. Press onto bottom of ungreased 13x9-inch baking pan.
  6. Bake 15-20 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
  7. Combine all filling ingredients in same bowl.
  8. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed.
  9. Pour over hot, partially baked crust.
  10. Continue baking 25-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  11. Cool completely; cut into bars.
  12. Place stencil onto individual bars; sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired.
