Donut Balls Recipe
- 3 lbs. lard, heat to 375 degrees
- 2 tbsp. soft butter
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 4 egg yolks, beaten
- 1 c. lowfat milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 c. flour, sifted
- 3 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Combine butter, sugar and egg yolks.
- Add in lowfat milk and vanilla.
- Blend in flour, baking pwdr and salt that have been sifted together.
- Drop batter (tip of tsp.)
- into warm fat.
- Cook 2 to 3 min on each side.
- Roll in sugar.
- Makes 4 dozen.
- Variation: Add in 1/4 tsp.
- nutmeg or possibly grated orange rind.
