Chocolate Macaroon Squares
- 1 (18 1/4 ounce) package chocolate cake mix
- 13 cup butter or 13 cup margarine, softened
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 1 (300 ml) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 13 cups sweetened flaked coconut, divided
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 cup nestle toll house semisweet chocolate morsel
- Peheat oven to 350F.
- Combine cake mix, butter, and egg in large bowl; mix with fork until crumbly.
- Press onto bottom of ungreased 13x9-inch baking pan.
- Combine sweetened condensed milk, egg and vanilla in medium bowl; beat until well blended.
- Stir in 1 cup each coconut, nuts and morsels.
- Spread mixture evenly over base; sprinkle with remaining coconut.
- Bake for 28-30 minutes or until center is almost set (center will firm when cool).
- Cool in pan on wire rack.
