Pork Chops With Soy-Orange Sauce

  1. Combine orange juice, soy sauce, garlic, pepper, & thyme sprigs.
  2. Set aside.
  3. Score pork chops 1/8" deep in a crisscross pattern on each side.
  4. Place in a glass or stainless stell dish in a single layer.
  5. Pour the marinade over chops and let sit at least 30minutes (overnight is best).
  6. Drain & reserve the marinade.
  7. Heat the butter and oil in a large heavy skillet until hot.
  8. Add the chops in a single layer & saute over high heat for 3 minutes on each side, browning them well.
  9. Reduce heat to low & pour reserved marinaid over chops.
  10. Cook until done, about 8-10mins.
  11. longer.
  12. Remove chops to a heated platter.
  13. Reduce the marinade in the skillet to 1/3C Pour over chops and serve immediately.
