Chocolate Funnel Cakes

  1. In a bowl, mix all the wet ingredients together.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine all the dry ingredients.
  3. Mix both together.
  4. You will have a pancake type batter.
  5. In a deep skillet with vegetable oil poured in to about under half full, heat oil to 350F.
  6. Using a funnel, put your finger on the bottom of funnel.
  7. This will keep batter from spilling out.
  8. Now fill the funnel.
  9. I used a 1/2 sized funnel.
  10. Carefully over heated oil, let batter come out of bottom of funnel and swirl batter in circles over each other.
  11. Cook about 45 seconds and then flip the funnel cake.
  12. Cook the other side about the same time.
  13. Remove from oil and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  14. Continue the same steps for the rest of the batter.
  15. Shake powdered sugar over each cake and enjoy.
