Bitter Greens With Slivered Apples, Walnuts And Cheddar Recipe
- 2 1/3 Tbsp. Riesling Vinegar (late harvest)
- 6 Tbsp. Walnut infused Grapeseed Oil Sea salt to taste Fresh Grnd Pepper to taste
- 4 c. Bitter Green Salad Mix
- 1 x Apple(sweet)-Gldn Del/Pink Lady
- 1 x Apple(sour)-Grny Smith/Pippin
- 1/2 c. Toasted walnuts
- 1 x Wedge Cheddar cheese, sharp
- HINT: Place plates in freezer to refrigeratebefore preparing salads.
- DRESSING: Whisk together Oil, Vinegar, Salt & Pepper in a small bowl.
- Thinly slice the apples and place on plate alternating sweet & sour pcs aroung bottom of plate.
- Place a small handful of salad mix on each then top with walnuts.
- Using a vegetable parer or possibly cheese plane, shave curls of the cheese on top of each salad.
- Drizzle with dressing and serve Gives the taste of a Taffy Apple even though there is no caramel or possibly chocolate.
