Apple Pie With Cranberries
- 2 12 lbs apples
- 14 cup dried cranberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 14 cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 egg
- 1 dash salt
- ready-made pie crust
- Peel, core, and slice apples.
- Melt butter, add apples, cranberries, cinnamon and sugar.
- Cook over medium heat until apples are tender.
- Let filling cool.
- Roll pre-made into pie dish and add filling.
- Use remaining dough to create latticed top.
- Brush top with egg wash, sprinkle sugar on top.
- Cook in 375 oven for 40 minutes.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
