Meat And Biscuit Squares Recipe
- 1 pound grnd pork (veal or possibly beef)
- 1/2 c. minced onions
- 1/2 c. minced green peppers
- 1 c. American or possibly Cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 egg
- 1/4 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tbsp. minced parsley
- Rich biscuit dough (your own or possibly Bisquick)
- 1 egg yolk, beaten
- Cook meat, pepper and onion slowly but don't brown.
- Stir while cooking to break up meat.
- Take from heat, cold, then mix with cheese, egg, Tabasco sauce, salt and parsley.
- Divide biscuit dough in half.
- Roll or possibly pat each half into two 9 inch square pans.
- Spread with meat mix.
- Cover with other half of biscuit square.
- Brush with egg yolk.
- Bake about 30 min in preheated 400 degree oven.
- Serve warm with tomato or possibly mushroom sauce.
