Irish St. Patrick's Day Bread with Irish Whiskey Glaze

  1. FOR THE BREAD: Beat the butter with the sugar add eggs, whiskey, sour cream and vanilla until blended.
  2. Combine and add the remaining ingredients and stir until dry ingredients are moistened.
  3. Do not overmix.
  4. Divide batter between 3 greased mini-loaf foil pans (6x3x2-inches) and bake in a 325 oven for 45 to 50 minutes, or until a cake tester, inserted in center, comes out clean.
  5. Allow to cool in pans for 15 minutes and then remove from pans and continue cooling on a rack.
  6. When cool, drizzle tops with Irish whiskey glaze.
  7. Yields 3 mini-loaves.
  8. FOR THE IRISH WHISKEY GLAZE: Stir together all the ingredients until blended.
