Bacon-Wrapped Dates

  1. Preheat the oven to 400F.
  2. Cut the bacon slices into thirds.
  3. Wrap a piece of bacon around each date and secure by sticking a toothpick through the bacon and into the date.
  4. Stir the jam vigorously for 1 minute, or until it loosens up enough to thinly coat the dates.
  5. (Alternatively, if you have a microwave, place the jam in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on high for 30 seconds, or until barely warm.)
  6. Dip the wrapped dates in the jam and place on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until the bacon is cooked.
  8. Place the dates on a serving plate and serve warm.
