Fried Chicken
- 2-1/2 lb. chicken pieces Whole Foods 1 lb For $3.99 thru 02/09
- 1 envelope GOOD SEASONS Italian Dressing Mix, divided
- 1 Tbsp. hot pepper sauce
- 1 cup flour
- 2 cups oil
- Place chicken in shallow baking dish.
- Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of the salad dressing mix and hot pepper sauce; turn to coat.
- Cover.
- Refrigerate 1 to 2 hours to marinate.
- Mix flour and remaining salad dressing mix in plastic bag.
- Shake 1 chicken piece at a time to coat.
- Heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat.
- Add chicken; brown on all sides.
- Reduce heat to low; cover and cook 20 to 30 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through.
- Drain on paper towels.
