Sicilian Stew

  1. Saute celery and chopped garlic in oil.
  2. Add tomatoes, stock, red pepper flakes, marinated peppers with 1 TBL of juice, chicken, sausage and tomato paste.
  3. Bring to simmer and simmer for 20 minutes on low.
  4. Add beans and pasta.
  5. Simmer for 9 minutes.
  6. Add pesto and kale.
  7. Turn off heat and allow to sit 5 minutes.
  8. Serve in a bowl.
  9. Top with zest, torn basil and parm.
