Pork Braised In Milk Recipe
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 2 tbsp. oil
- 2 lbs. pork roast or possibly loin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- Heat butter and oil in pot large sufficient to hold meat.
- Brown meat on all sides.
- Add in salt, pepper and lowfat milk (slowly).
- When lowfat milk boils, cover pot and cook on medium heat for 1 1/2 to 2 hrs till meat is tender.
- Be sure to baste and turn meat from time to time.
- Remove meat to cutting board and allow to cold before slicing.
- (Use pan drippings to make a gravy if desired.)
