Pecan Cluster Crunch
- 4 cups whole wheat cereal squares
- 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
- 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup each: butter and corn syrup
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- Preheat oven to 250F.
- Lightly grease 15x10x3/4-inch baking pan.
- Mix cereal, pecans and cinnamon in large bowl; set aside.
- Place sugar, butter and corn syrup in medium saucepan.
- Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
- Continue boiling 2 min.
- without stirring.
- Add baking soda; mix well.
- Pour over cereal mixture; stir until evenly coated.
- Spread evenly into prepared pan.
- Bake 30 min., stirring occasionally.
- Cool completely.
- Break into small pieces.
- Store in tightly covered container at room temperature.
