Ham Stuffed Shells Recipe
- 15 stuffing shells
- 2 c. ham, cooked and diced
- 1 (10 ounce.) pkg. frzn minced spinach, cooked and liquid removed
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 4 tbsp. butter
- 4 tbsp. flour
- 2 c. lowfat milk
- 2 1/2 c. shredded Swiss cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- Cook shells according to package directions.
- Drain and set aside.
- Cook spinach according to package directions.
- Drain.
- Combine ham, spinach, salt and pepper.
- Set aside.
- In saucepan, heat butter.
- Add in flour.
- Cook for 2 min.
- Add in lowfat milk and bring to boil over moderate heat, stirring constantly.
- Cook for 2 min.
- Remove from heat.
- Add in 1 1/2 c. Swiss cheese, salt and pepper.
- Stir sauce till smooth.
- Add in 1/4 c. sauce to ham mix.
- Mix well.
- Stuff shells with ham mix.
- Spoon 1/2 c. sauce on bottom of 11 3/4 x 7 1/2 x 3/4 inch pan.
- Arrange shells over sauce.
- Cover shells with remaining sauce.
- Sprinkle remaining 1 c. Swiss cheese over the shells.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 min or possibly till cheese starts to brown.
- Makes 4 to 5 servings.
