Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1/2 c. butter or oleo
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 1 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolates
- 1 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
- Let butter and shortening stand at room temperature, then cream oleo or butter and Crisco.
- Add brown and white sugar until creamy.
- Be sure batter is smooth.
- Next add eggs and beat.
- Add vanilla, then mix flour and other ingredients.
- Add chips and nuts with spoon.
- Drop on ungreased cookie sheet by spoonfuls.
- Use a spatula to push it off the spoon.
- Bake about 8 to 10 minutes or until done.
- Let cool before stacking.
- Makes 6 dozen. Temperature 350u0b0.
