Turkey Panzarotti
- 2 teaspoons Canola Oil
- 2 cups Sliced Mushrooms
- 1/2 cups Chopped Green Bell Pepper
- 1/2 cups Chopped Red Bell Pepper
- 2 cups Chopped Cooked Turkey
- 7- 1/2 ounces, fluid Pizza Sauce
- 24 ounces, weight Store Bought Pizza Dough
- 1- 1/2 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
- In a non-stick skillet, heat oil over medium high heat.
- Add mushrooms, green and red peppers and cook for about 8 minutes or until mushrooms are golden and peppers are tender crisp.
- Set pan aside to cool.
- In a bowl, stir together the cooked turkey and pizza sauce; set aside.
- On a lightly floured work surface, cut dough into 4 equal parts.
- Roll each piece into about a 6- to 8-inch (15 to 22 cm) circle.
- Divide turkey mixture evenly onto one half of each of the dough pieces.
- Top each with a fourth of the vegetable mixture and then sprinkle with cheese.
- Fold the empty half of the dough over the top of the fillings and press edges to seal together.
- Place panzarotti onto a large parchment paper lined baking sheet.
- Bake in preheated 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) oven for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
