A Peanut Picnic

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cookie mix, eggs, oil, and water and mix well.
  3. Stir in peanut butter chips.
  4. Shape into 1 1/2-inch balls and place 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 13 minutes or until lightly browned.
  6. Cool on baking rack.
  7. Burger Topping:
  8. Combine coconut and food coloring to make "lettuce" for burgers.
  9. Burger Filling:
  10. In a mixing bowl, cream butter.
  11. Add sugar, cocoa, milk, and vanilla.
  12. Beat until smooth.
  13. Frost bottom of half of the cookie "bun" and sprinkle with coconut "lettuce" topping.
  14. Top burger with other half of cookie and gently squeeze the burger together.
  15. Let cool.
  16. Peanutty Fries:
  17. In a double boiler, melt chips with milk.
  18. Stir until smooth.
  19. Line 9-inch baking pan with foil.
  20. Grease and pour into pan.
  21. Spread smooth and let cool.
  22. Flip over and remove foil.
  23. Let cool until dry.
  24. Cut into strips with knife or pizza cutter.
  25. Add red gel "ketchup" to fries.
  26. Serve "burgers" with "fries" and garnish with Peanut Butter Bumble Bees.
  27. 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  28. 1 tablespoons butter, softened
  29. 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
  30. 3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
  31. 1 ounce semisweet chocolate
  32. 1/3 cup sliced almonds
  33. In a mixing bowl, cream peanut butter, butter, and sugar.
  34. Add cracker crumbs.
  35. Shape teaspoons of dough into small ovals and place on waxed paper.
  36. Melt the chocolate over medium heat and place in a zip-lock bag.
  37. Cut small hole in a corner of the bag and pipe 3 stripes over each bee.
  38. Insert 2 slices of almond for wings.
  39. Use a toothpick to poke holes for eyes.
