Italian-Style Pasta & Beans
- 4 ounces uncooked dried pasta twists (thin corkscrew, fusilli or elbow macaroni)
- 1 tablespoon Land O Lakes Butter
- 1 large (1 cup) red onion, chopped
- 2 teaspoons purchased minced garlic
- 3 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes Deli Yellow or White American, chopped
- 1 (15-ounce) can low salt garbanzo beans, rinsed, drained
- 1 (14 1/2-ounce) can Italian-style diced tomatoes, undrained
- 2 medium zucchini, sliced 1/4-inch
- Cook pasta twists according to package directions.
- Drain.
- Melt butter in 3-quart saucepan until sizzling; add onion and garlic.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 4-5 minutes or until onion is softened .
- Add chopped cheese and all remaining ingredients.
- Stir in cooked pasta.
- Cover; continue cooking 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle with cheese.
