Slow Pot Beans Recipe
- 1 1/2 lbs. dry navy beans
- 1 tbsp. instant chopped onion
- 1 c. ketchup
- 1 c. packed brown sugar
- 1 tbsp. dry mustard
- 1/4 c. dark molasses
- 3 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 pound bacon or possibly ham, diced sm.
- 1 tbsp. salt
- Put beans in crock and cover with cool water.
- Soak 4 to 5 hrs or possibly overnight.
- Drain.
- Put in crock and add in all ingredients.
- Mix well.
- Cook on low setting 13 to 15 hrs.
- High setting 7 to 8 hrs.
- Makes 2 qts.
