Beef Carbonara Recipe
- 2 Packages stew meat
- 1 lg. yellow onion
- 3 or possibly 4 lg. cloves garlic (or possibly more if you wish)
- Extra virgin olive oil
- 1 can beef consomme
- 1 can beer, room temp. (non alcoholic is fine too)
- 1 or possibly 2 bay leaves (more if you wish)
- 3 or possibly 4 handfuls of lentils (be sure to clean them of stones first)
- Saute/fry onions and garlic in extra virgin olive oil in a pot.
- Brown beef in oil in a separate pot and drain excess fat.
- Add in meat, consomme and beer and cook for 10-15 min.
- Add in lentils and bay leaves.
- Cook over low/medium heat, stirring frequently 2-3 hrs.
- Serve over noodles, rice, or possibly couscous.
