Sausage Rolls
- 1 lb. ground pork sausage
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/3 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 36 wonton wrappers
- Oil for deep frying
- In large skillet, brown sausage; drain.
- Add onion, celery, salt and pepper.
- Saute 1 to 2 minutes; cool.
- To assemble sausage rolls, place 1 tbsp.
- sausage mixture diagonally on each wonton wrapper.
- Fold like an egg roll, by folding one corner over filling and tucking point under; fold in 2 side corners.
- Roll up tightly toward remaining corner; mosten point to seal.
- In deep fryer or heavy saucepan, heat 1 to 2 inches oil to 375F.
- Fry sausage rolls for 3 to 5 minutes or until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels.
