Melt In Your Mouth Beef Brisket Recipe
- 4 to 5 lbs. beef brisket
- Seasoned salt, sprinkle on top (heavily)
- Pepper, sprinkle on top (Heavily)
- Garlic pwdr, sprinkle on top
- Italian seasoning, sprinkle on top (heavily)
- 1 foil lined baking pan
- If there's sufficient fat on meat, put it in the refrigerator overnight, after covering with foil.
- (If not sufficient fat, add in some water).
- Bake at 350 degrees for 2 to 3 hrs.
- Start checking after 2 hrs, when fork comes right out, it's tender and done.
- Mix au jus packet with water as set forth on packet and cook on stove.
- Slice brisket in small, even slices.
- Pour about 1/2 au jus over brisket.
- Put brisket back in oven at 350 degrees for 20 to 30 min.
- This is good to be made ahead of time, then reheated with more au jus when ready to serve.
