Lemon Sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 6 tablespoons freshly-squeezed lemon juice (about)
- 34 cup cold water
- 14 cup sugar
- 1 lemon
- In a small bowl, add cornstarch.
- Mix a little lemon juice with a little water and add to cornstarch.
- Beat to a smooth paste.
- In a medium saucepan, heat remaining lemon juice and water.
- Add sugar, stirring constantly, until dissolved.
- Pour onto cornstarch paste, beating well until smooth.
- Return to saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and clear.
- Using a zester, add the peel of 1 lemon.
- Serve hot.
