Prune Cake

  1. Blend oil and sugar.
  2. Add eggs.
  3. Add sifted ingredients alternately with buttermilk.
  4. Add vanilla, prunes and nuts.
  5. Pour into greased 13 inch X 9 inch pan.
  6. Bake at 300 degrees (150 C.) for 45 minutes.
  7. Pour the icing over the cake in the pan while hot.
  8. Combine all ingredients in saucepan.
  9. Bring to a boil stirring constantly.
  10. Boil until soft ball forms in cold water.
  11. Pour over cake.
