Anise Boiled Peanuts

  1. It is not necessary to remove the red skins from the peanuts.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat.
  3. Reduce the heat and simmer uncovered for 1 hour 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until most of the liquid is absorbed.
  4. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  5. Will keep for several days in the refrigerator.
