Hot German Potato Salad

  1. Place potatoes in large bowl; set aside.
  2. Cook and stir bacon in skillet on medium heat to desired crispness.
  3. Remove bacon from skillet; drain, reserving 2 Tbsp.
  4. drippings in skillet.
  5. Set bacon aside.
  6. Add onion and celery to skillet; cook and stir until celery is crisp-tender.
  7. Blend in flour.
  8. Stir in water, vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper and bacon.
  9. Bring to boil.
  10. Cook on medium heat 5 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally.
  11. Pour over potatoes; mix lightly.
  12. Serve warm.
