Granny's Beef Stroganoff

  1. Brown meat in large sauce pan with 3 Tab.
  2. butter.
  3. Add a dash of salt and pepper.
  4. (may have to do two batches to fit in pan).
  5. In small pan with 1 Tab.
  6. butter, saute onion and green pepper till tender.
  7. In large dutch, add everything but sour cream.
  8. Add a little kitchen bouquet for color.
  9. Simmer slowly and cover till tender about 1 hour.
  10. Right before serving time, add sour cream; warm slowly don't boil.
  11. Serve with steamed rice.
