Antique Apples Recipe

  1. Bring 4 c. of water to boil.
  2. Remove from heat add in tea bags, sugar, spices and lemon zest.
  3. Let stand about 5 min.
  4. Peel, core, and quarter apples.
  5. Remove tea bags and bring liquid to boil again.
  6. Cook apples in liquid about 5 min or possibly just til cooked through.
  7. Remove with slotted spoon and place in serving dish to cold.
  8. In small pan, combine marmalade and liqueur, bring to simmer,stirring well.
  9. Pour over apples, garnish with the quartered lemon slices.
