Cantaloupe, Peach Conserve Recipe

  1. Combine contaloupe and peaches in large saucepan.
  2. simmer 20 min, stirring till there is sufficient liquied to prevent fruit from sticking.
  3. Add in sugar and lemon juice.
  4. coil till thick, add in nutmeg, salt, lemon peel and nuts, boil 3 min.
  5. Ladle into sterized warm hars to within 1/8" of jar top.
  6. Wipe jar rim; adjust lids.
  7. Process in boiling water bath for 5 min.
  8. Remove from canner and complete seals unless closures are self-sealing type.
  9. Makes 4 to 5 half pints.
