Eclipse
- Maraschino cherry or ripe olive
- 1/2 ounce grenadine (approx.)
- 1 1/2 to 2 ounces sloe gin
- 3/4 to 1 ounce gin
- 3 or 4 ice cubes
- Twist orange peel
- Drop the cherry or olive into a cocktail glass and pour enough grenadine over it to cover.
- Combine the gins in a cocktail shaker with the ice and shake vigorously, then strain into the cocktail glass, pouring very carefully so that the gins do not mix with the grenadine.
- Twist the orange peel over the drink to release the oil before dropping the peel in.
