Apple Pie Dip W/ Pie Crust Dippin Chips

  1. FOR THE PIE CRUST CHIPS:
  2. preheat oven to 350F
  3. lay out dough onto parchment lined cookie sheet.
  4. cut dough with a shap knife in half and then into strips as shown.
  5. arrange strips so they are not touching.
  6. using a pastry brush, brush with melted butter.
  7. sprinkle colored sugar crystals over the strips.
  8. bake for about 10 minutes or until golden.
  9. remove from oven and let cool completely.
  10. HINT: u can make your own dough, add food coloring to dough for a more festive look.
  11. and u can use plain granulated sugar instead of colored sprinkles.
  12. HINT: use cookie cutter instead of strips for different shapes to match your occasion!
  13. FOR THE DIP:
  14. in a bowl cream together cream cheese, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  15. add butter.
  16. blend in apple filling.
  17. chill for 2 hours or serve immedietly.
  18. choice is yours.
  19. ASSEMBLY:
  20. place dip into a serving bowl surrounded by pie crust chips.
  21. or side by side.
  22. serve!

  24. MORE HINTS: if u want to use apple pie filling cut the apples into small bite sized pieces.. and lower butter to half.
  25. u may also use less cream cheese if needed.
  26. u can do half the amount.
  27. make sure the pie crust chips are completely cooled before using them for dipping or they won't be crisspy enough.
