Caramel Ribbon Bars Recipe
- 1 pkt Yellow cake mix, 2-layer
- 1/2 c. Minced walnuts
- 5 1/3 ounce Evaporated lowfat milk
- 1/4 c. Butter or possibly margarine, melted
- 1/2 c. Semisweet chocolate chips, optional
- 1/2 c. Caramel topping
- In a mixing bowl combine dry cake mix and walnuts.
- Stir in evaporated lowfat milk and the melted butter or possibly margarine.
- Spread about half of the cake mix in a greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan.
- Bake in a 350 degree oven for 10 min.
- Remove from oven.
- If you like, sprinkle chocolate pcs over warm crust.
- Drizzle with caramel topping.
- Drop remaining cake mix by tsp.
- over all.
- Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 to 25 min more.
- Cold on wire rack.
- While still hot, loosen sides and cut into bars.
- NOTES : You also can make these rich, chewy cookies with chocolate cake mix...
