Oven-Barbecued Short Ribs

  1. Trim some fat from short ribs, rub hot skillet with it.
  2. Brown ribs slowly on all sides; drain off fat.
  3. Combine all other ingredients; pour over ribs.
  4. Cover tightly.
  5. Bake in slow oven for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, or until meat is deliciously tender.
