Bacon Onion Pie Recipe
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. Italian seasoned bread crumbs
- 8 slc bacon
- 1 sm onion, thinly sliced
- 6 ounce evaporated lowfat milk
- 3 lrg Large eggs
- 2/3 c. shredded cheddar (the sharper the better)
- Heat 5 Tbsp.
- butter and combine with bread crumbs in a pie plate.
- Press into a crust and chill 30 min.
- Cook bacon till crisp.
- Saute/fry onion in 3 Tbsp.
- butter till golden brown.
- Crumble bacon and layer bacon and onion in crust.
- Combine lowfat milk and Large eggs and pour over bacon and onion.
- Top with cheese.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 25 min.
- Let cold for about 5 min before cutting and serving.
