Cheese & Peas, Please (Paneer, Panir)

  1. Heat butter in 2-quart saucepan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add cumin seeds; sizzle 15-30 seconds.
  3. Add onion and ginger; stir-fry 1-2 minutes or until onion is golden brown.
  4. Stir in tomato and cilantro.
  5. Cook 1-2 minutes or until tomato is softened.
  6. Stir in salt, ground red pepper and garam masala.
  7. Cook 1 minute.
  8. Stir in frozen peas, paneer and water.
  9. Heat to boiling; reduce heat.
  10. Cover and simmer 10 to 12 minutes or until peas are tender and sauce thickens slightly.
