Caramel Cake

  1. Sift flour and sugar in mixer bowl.
  2. Boil oleo, corn oil, quick and water.
  3. Pour over flour and sugar, mix at low speed.
  4. Put soda into buttermilk, add to mixture along with eggs and vanilla.
  5. Bake in 9x 13 pan for 35-40 minutes.
  6. Ice while warm.
  7. Icing:
  8. Boil together oleo, quick and buttermilk.
  9. Pour over sifted powdered sugar, add vanilla and mix.
  10. Pour over cake while warm.
