Onion Gravy

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Cook the onions, stirring, until golden, 10 to 15 minutes.
  3. Cover; cook over low heat until brown, about 25 minutes.
  4. Add the flour.
  5. Cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat; whisk in the wine, stock, and Worcestershire sauce.
  7. Bring to a boil.
  8. Reduce heat; simmer until thick, about 10 minutes.
  9. Season with salt and pepper.
  10. Serve immediately.
