Salisbury Steak, Onion Gravy Recipe
- 1 can (10 1/2 ounce.) condensed onion soup
- 1 1/2 lbs. grnd beef
- 1/2 c. fine bread crumbs
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 c. water
- Dash pepper
- 1/4 c. catsup
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire
- 1/2 teaspoon prepared mustard
- 1 tbsp. flour
- In bowl, combine 1/3 c. soup with beef, crumbs, egg, salt, pepper.
- Shape into 6 oval patties.
- In skillet, brown patties; pour off fat.
- Gradually blend in remaining soup into flour till smooth.
- Add in to skillet with remaining ingredients; stir to loosen brown bits.
- Cover; cook over low heat 20 min or possibly till done.
- 6 servings.
