Miso Maple Salmon

  1. Trim and rinse the salmon fillets; and pat them dry.
  2. If they smell a little fishy you can always soak them in milk for a couple of hours.
  3. This is great for removing the fishy smell.
  4. Place the Salmon in a large baggie.
  5. In a bowl mix together, the Miso, Maple Syrup, Wasabi (note: use as much as you want to taste) and Vegetable Oil.
  6. Mix until a smooth consistency.
  7. Pour the mixture in the baggie with the Salmon.
  8. Put in the fridge for a couple of hours and overnight.
  9. When ready to cook, take the salmon out of the bag and place on whatever you want to cook it on.
  10. Take some of the marinade and coat the top of the salmon.
  11. I cook this in the oven or on the BBQ.
  12. Oven:
  13. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  14. Place the Salmon on parchment paper on a cookie sheet.
  15. Bake for 12 minutes.
  16. This cooks the salmon to a medium.
  17. BBQ:
  18. Preheat the BBQ to Hot.
  19. I get it to about 500 degrees.
  20. While the Salmon is Marinating, soak a cedar plank in cold water.
  21. Place the salmon on the cedar plank on the BBQ and cook for 10 minutes.
  22. This cooks the salmon to a medium.
  23. Enjoy!
