Miso Maple Salmon
- 4 pieces Salmon Fillets
- 13 cups White Miso Paste
- 1/2 cups Maple Syrup
- 18 cups Wasabi Paste Or Powder
- 13 cups Vegetable Oil
- Trim and rinse the salmon fillets; and pat them dry.
- If they smell a little fishy you can always soak them in milk for a couple of hours.
- This is great for removing the fishy smell.
- Place the Salmon in a large baggie.
- In a bowl mix together, the Miso, Maple Syrup, Wasabi (note: use as much as you want to taste) and Vegetable Oil.
- Mix until a smooth consistency.
- Pour the mixture in the baggie with the Salmon.
- Put in the fridge for a couple of hours and overnight.
- When ready to cook, take the salmon out of the bag and place on whatever you want to cook it on.
- Take some of the marinade and coat the top of the salmon.
- I cook this in the oven or on the BBQ.
- Oven:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
- Place the Salmon on parchment paper on a cookie sheet.
- Bake for 12 minutes.
- This cooks the salmon to a medium.
- BBQ:
- Preheat the BBQ to Hot.
- I get it to about 500 degrees.
- While the Salmon is Marinating, soak a cedar plank in cold water.
- Place the salmon on the cedar plank on the BBQ and cook for 10 minutes.
- This cooks the salmon to a medium.
- Enjoy!
